Learning how to use the negative simple past in English is super easy, and I can prove it!

Learning how to use the negative simple past in English is super easy, and I can prove it! Check out this sentence in the positive simple past:
Last night, I ate dinner.

To turn it to the negative form, all you gotta do is place “didn’t” or “did not” after the subject, and change the verb to its base form, like this:
Last night, I didn’t eat dinner.

Let’s look at another one.
Last week, I learned English.

In the negative form, it would be:
Last week, I didn’t learn English.

So, to sum it up, take away the verb in the past, and add:
“Didn’t” + verb in its base form.

That’s it, guys! I hope you enjoyed it. Remember to send this to a friend, and take a look at our content here on the website.

Until next time!
